Operations & Events Manager, Basils
About Basils
Basils is a live-music portfolio relaunching out of Yerevan — five projects under one umbrella:
- Robinson (a jazz & blues bar, the long-term flagship)
- Listening Bar
- The Jazz Tribute (an annual festival)
- Gorgeouz Beats (live events, from an orchestra concert to club nights)
- A new podcast
Basils started in 2024 and is now moving from a single events brand into a real, resourced business with its own operating plan.
Basils is an affiliated company of Stamina — an international sales and revenue growth firm that helps B2B companies build predictable pipelines and scale their sales performance. That means you'll be building inside a group that brings real commercial structure, systems, and business discipline to a creative portfolio.
About the role
We're hiring an Operations & Events Manager to run point on execution across the portfolio, working directly alongside the founder.
You'll own the calendar, the vendor and sponsor relationships, and the on-the-ground production for events — freeing the founder to focus on capital raising, partnerships, and strategy.
This is a hands-on, builder role for someone who wants real ownership over multiple live projects at once, not a single event.
What you'll actually be doing
Event production
- Plan and run a full-scale concert with a chamber orchestra (targeted for March 2027) — venue, budget, program, sponsors, and ticketing, start to finish.
- Build and run a recurring club night / house series (3–4 times a year) featuring local DJs, from lineup booking through logistics.
- Lead on-the-ground production for an annual jazz festival timed around International Jazz Day (April 30) — artist coordination, ticketing, marketing handoff, and post-event wrap-up.
Venue & location
- Drive the search for Listening Bar's permanent home — scouting locations, evaluating size/cost/foot traffic, and feeding that data into the business plan and budget.
Partnerships & vendors
- Coordinate directly with Gorgeouz Beats' artist partner on event planning and the terms of a long-term partnership agreement.
- Work with our podcast co-host on a content calendar and cross-promotion schedule tied to the other four projects.
- Liaise with our marketing partner (an agency founder contributing website, social, podcast production, and event marketing as an investment in the business) to keep deliverables on schedule.
Operating rhythm
- Own the cross-project calendar and keep every board/pipeline up to date — deadlines, budgets, sponsor status, ticket sales.
- Run quarterly reviews per project and flag what's off-track before it becomes a problem.
What you'll need
- 3+ years running live events, venues, or multi-project operations — hospitality, entertainment, or festival production background is a strong fit.
- Comfortable owning a budget and a vendor/sponsor relationship end to end, not just executing a checklist someone else built.
- Organized enough to run five projects on different timelines at once without dropping a deadline.
- Based in or able to work from Yerevan.
- Armenian and English fluency; Russian a plus.
Nice to have
- Existing relationships with venues, sponsors, or the local music/DJ scene in Yerevan.
- Experience with ticketing platforms and event marketing.
- A genuine interest in jazz, live music, or hospitality — this isn't a role you can fake enthusiasm for.
